I'm a black and purple gal myself, but the striking match of deep red and black is amazing to behold, when properly done of course. A few of these have been kicking around in my favorites waiting for their feature for quite some time. I hope they leave you wanting more.

I actually felt like I was finding treasure this go around. After sifting through pages of creations that ought not be labeled art, don't get me started, I found gold. I was going to say that my fav was the Wizard of Oz piece, but, I love that elephant and ooh Daphe looks uber cool and I covet an Eric Freitas clock like you wouldn't believe. So, I guess I can't actually pick a favorite. Can you?

From memories, real and imagined come the relics. Each evokes a memory, one hidden so deep, it seems almost unreal, a dream really. This is where unicorns are real, airships float in the red dusky sky and time is lost in the the mazes of then.

I love ruffles. No, I won't apologize for that. My favorite shirts are loaded with them. However, I like my ruffles to be folds of darkness. Deep and mysterious are my ruffles, not bright and sunny. I like my decadence dark.

Yes, I know these aren't all real bones, but they're still awesomely disturbing. I am particularly fond of the metal bird skeleton. Well, I also thing having a real human tooth around your neck is strangely interesting. In fact, I think I've got some wisdom teeth around here somewhere and the kids are bound to lose those baby teeth one day and I'll need to do something with them, right?

One thing that bugs me about Halloween, not only does everyone want to do the theme once a year, they add a degree of cuteness that I do not dig. Sure cute filled with a bit of irony is delicious, but plain cute, not so much. It was, then harder than you might think to find me some skeleton jewelry that was actually a little disturbing and interesting rather than, again, cute.

Sure, the tubes are no longer doing their intended job, but they can live on. I'm not sure that that clock is safe or if the robots will invade, but they sure are neat to look at!

And that rainbow should be dark and jewel toned. It should mix it's colors with the darkness of the storm before to create powerful and gorgeous hues. Though I would be lying if I said it was easy to find multicolored beauties that fit my aesthetic. I have gathered some of the few in hopes that they will bring us out of our storm.

I love me a mantid. I stumbled upon the great reaper print the other day and decided that it was time for another feature for my predatory friend. I wasn't surprised to find these great and fairly steamy interpretations of the mantis floating around. Enjoy!
