There are those who would assign a strict definition to steampunk, allowing for little interpretation. I am however not one of them. I think one of the best things about this movement is its flexibility to go beyond the definitions and recreate itself at random. Sure, I still believe that there is a distinct feeling to the genre that must be respected, but then the only limitation is your imagination.
