Welcome

All the cute and the precious have been found. All the kitties and puppies have homes. The candy colored, the eco-friendly, the hipsters of the handmade are all duly covered elsewhere. Here I will find the slightly odd, the darkly beautiful, the elegant and steamy pieces of goodness. I am very particular in my tastes and though I promise you that I will share nothing but the most intriguing of my discoveries, you may not always like them. I must also confess that I have no real artistic nor fashion background to base my finds upon. These are simply discoveries dug up from the depths of etsy or perhaps elsewhere, brushed off and presented for your approval.

Dude

Am I implying that men should always wear ties and vests? Perhaps I am
1. Ghost Vest - LawnDesigns
2. REGENCY Brummel Victorian Ascot Tie Cravat Black Satin - Gentlemansjabot
3. Victorian Gears, screenprinted microfiber necktie - toybreaker
4. Tan Steampunk Vest- tadaboutique

My man is not a dandy, he is a geek and I love them. I have tried to dress him in the past, but aside from our wedding, I've had little success. Would he look great in a screen printed or amazingly embroidered vest? Yes, I think he would. While I don't think he could ever pull off one of the gentlemansjabots ties, I think he would also look smashing in one of these victorian gear ties. Too bad he's not likely to need one anytime soon.

I think I would have obviously been one of the more engineer type of steampunk guys with goggles and gadgets and what not, just not one of the upper crust dandy looking ones...would a holographic PDAs ruin the steampunk look? Probably...

There's a sexiness to the rumpled shirt & vest look. Of course, around here, any man wearing a 3-piece in the summer is asking for heat stroke.

My man manages to pull off both dandy and engineer simultaneously.

I do have to keep him away from Etsy, though, or we'd be even more broke... he has more accessories and grooming products than I do.

Sigh.

Oh how I wish every man would dress like this instead of those stupid pants that hang off their butts, yes, I do see that around!

"Too bad he's not likely to need one anytime soon." Hey, what's he wearing to Maker Faire? Hmmmm? I'd say that's an opportunity.

Oi getting my guys to dress up is about as likely as me winning the lottery. LOL I feel your pain!

Good idea, doing a guy-themed finds post!

My man wears vests (but not ties) and my goodness, is it a hot look. I love a man in a vest.

Men, Take note of the womens comments here. There is a time for greasy tinkering and a time for wooing in your finery. Just saying.
